With over twenty-nine years of comprehensive experience, Gabe has evolved from a welder, superintendent, quality manager, and project manager, to executive management and outside consultant. He has a deep understanding of all aspects of project management with a focus on constructability, quality control and assurance, and continuous improvement to drive business success.
Gabe’s journey began in the U.S. Navy, where he laid the foundation for his diverse career. He has hands-on experience in the heavy industrial sector, including power plants, boilers, refineries, oil fields, cement, and mining. He also contributed to major commercial projects such as the Ronald Reagan Memorial Hospital at UCLA. As a construction executive, Gabe was responsible for all corporate operations inclusive of business strategy, pre-construction, construction, and dispute resolution for projects up to $250 Million.
He is well-versed in facilitating technical communications wherein a dispute has occurred between owners, contractors, and engineers. Gabe’s strengths include constructability analysis, review of quality control and assurance issues, risk management, and negligence/standard of care assessments.
Gabe is also a certified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and a lead auditor in ISO 9001-2015. Gabe is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from the American Welding Society (AWS) and has been certified in non-destructive testing (PT, UT, VT, IRT). He has extensive experience with codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, NFPA, CBC, NACE, and PED.
Gabe has participated in the preparation and presentation of complex construction claims both during project performance and post-construction periods within the industrial, commercial, and government sectors. He has been recognized and accepted as an expert witness in alternative dispute resolution proceedings in domestic forums.
